Katie Ek, LE  graduated from Palomar Institute of Cosmetology and has been a licensed esthetician since 2001.  She has continued post-graduate training along with completing many certifications in various skin care modalities over her 23 years in the industry.  

She specializes in speed waxing and has recently added sugaring to her menu of services. Katie’s other niche is providing relaxing, result oriented anti-aging facials. Katie's mission is to ensure a positive, memorable, result driven experience to every client that steps into the relaxing atmosphere, where confidence is enhanced.

Katie’s skin care career started in 2001 at a salon in Carmel Valley, where to this day she still see’s many of those same clients! 

In 2006, she dabbled on the medical side of esthetics, but then soon realized she wanted to venture out on her own. She took the leap of faith a few months later and opened Aqua Oasis Skin Care in Solana Beach. 

2017 brought change to Katie’s career, where she had to put her business on hold to move to Los Angeles for her husband’s work. During her absence, she was able to be a full-time stay at home mom for her two young daughters. 

In 2020 opportunity knocked and Katie’s family had an amazing opportunity to move back to San Diego.  It was Katie’s dream to start up her business again. She is located in Encinitas, with a new name, Katie Ek Esthetics!
